Meet Your District AttorneyMichael H. Rogers was appointed District Attorney for the Griffin Judicial Circuit in August of 2026. Michael has served the Griffin Judicial Circuit since 2010. He has successfully prosecuted cases in Superior, Juvenile, Magistrate and Probate Courts throughout the circuit. Most recently as Senior Assistant District Attorney for Pike County, GA. Prior to joining the Griffin Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office, Rogers practiced privately in Thomaston, specializing in criminal defense, domestic relations and estate law. He also served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Georgia Public Defender Council, locally with the Griffin Judicial Circuit, as well as in Fulton and DeKalb Counties. Rogers is actively involved in his profession and community. He is a graduate of Leadership Georgia's Class of 2022, a past president and treasurer of the Thomaston Bar Association, a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and the Pike County and Upson County C.H.I.N.S Committees. He supports education by serving as a lecturer for local schools and helping organize mock trial educational programs for students in the Griffin Judicial Circuit. Rogers earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Columbus State University and his Juris Doctor from Mercer University. A lifelong resident of the Griffin Judicial Circuit, he was born in Spalding County, raised in Upson County and served the citizens of Pike County and Fayette County for the majority of his twenty-three year legal career. He, his wife and two children reside in Upson County and attend Christ Chapel of Zebulon. . |
